Once an IPO closes for subscription, the registrar finalizes the basis of allotment within 1 to 2 business days. Checking your allotment status promptly allows you to plan your listing-day strategy or verify when funds will be unblocked in your bank account.

Method 1: Checking Allotment on the Registrar Website

The IPO registrar is the primary official authority responsible for processing applications and distributing shares. The three major registrars in India are Link Intime, KFin Technologies (KFintech), and Bigshare Services.

  1. Visit the official allotment page of the designated registrar.
  2. Select the company name from the dropdown list.
  3. Choose your verification identifier: PAN Number, Application Number, or DP Client ID.
  4. Enter the captcha code and click Submit / Search.
  5. Your allotted shares count, applied lots, and status will be displayed immediately.

Method 2: Checking on the BSE / NSE Portals

You can also verify allotment directly through the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) investor portal:

  1. Go to the official BSE IPO Allotment page (bseindia.com/investors/appli_check.aspx).
  2. Select Issue Type as Equity.
  3. Select the Issue Name from the dropdown list.
  4. Enter your Application Number or PAN Card number.
  5. Complete the reCAPTCHA and click Search.

Method 3: Bank Account Debit / UPI Mandate Status

Often the fastest hint comes from your bank or UPI app:

  • Shares Allotted: You receive an SMS/notification stating funds have been debited from your bank account.
  • No Allotment: The lien/block on your funds is revoked/unblocked, restoring your usable bank balance.
